I'm trying to build a wooden coat tree for my entry. All I want is a simple design, no carved wood or anything, with some dowels as the actual "hands" or whatever they are called. Maybe 6-8ft tall, with a + for a base. Really simple. I've looked online for plans, but can't seem to find any. And I can't actually do something like this from scratch - I really do need to at least be told what screws/nuts/bolts/plates to buy, so that this thing doesn't fall apart my first time out. Can anyone give me instructions or a link? Thanks.
I guess I didn't make myself clear enough - the kind I'm looking for doesn't attach to the wall - it's freestanding. I found one on http://www.target.com, but I really don't like the idea of spending $35 of my really tight budget for something that may not even be sturdy, based on the reviews. Oh well. Anyways, thanks for all the answers so far.
