Need help with changing 3.5mm jack on ipod cable with RCA plugs?

I have included a picture whcih shows what cable i have..what replcement jack i have just bought..and what the cable looks like when i cut in..

The white RCA cable is the Left channel and the center should connect to the tip of the 3.5mm jack. The red RCA cable is the Right channel and the center connects to the ring of the 3.5mm jack. The outers of the red and white cables should got to the ground of the jack i.e. the bit nearest the body of the plug.
