Do you have any foods that may be considered strange to outsiders?

I am in Aberdeen in the UK, and we butter - Butter pastry wraps 4-6 "in diameter and 3 / 4" thick - eaten hot, upside down with a spread of jam on them. Cornwall has its Cornish pasties - Shortcake traditionally heavy freeformed from a circle of dough, a line of meat, potatoes & Onions, and folded with a center wavy crimp. It is said that they were tin miners to paste into each pocket. Yorkshire puddings its pulp - some medium-sized plate. What is in your part of the world? There must be more than that?

Black pudding (sausage made of pig's blood). Do not think that its regional offices outside of Bury black pudding. (The Center wavy crimp on a Cornish Pasty was that persons detained by the pasty (With the hands there is coal dust) that they threw out of the way)
