Tubes Lot

When I went for my first visit to the ob/gyn they sent me for blood work. They took at least 4 or more tubes of blood...i can't remember because I couldn't watch. Does anyone know what they were all for? I know one was a hiv test and one was for toxsoplasmosis (which I am scared sh1tless about having since I have to clean the kitty litter) (i am alone) but what else do they test for? I don't get the results for another week. I am so afraid that something is going to go wrong...I am 39 yrs old with first baby. Do you guys know anything about this??
Wow, I'm 39 and 12 weeks prego with my first!!! Yeah, and they took about four vials from me too. As well as what you said, I know they check things like Iron levels, for anemia. They probably check your Hcg level, and your progesterone and estrogen.
Are your cats indoor cats? If so, you can stop worrying. Cats pick up the parasite? or whatever from outdoors, like from critters like squirrels etc. even if they are outdoors, just wash your hands after really good.
